The first Community Flea Market at the Pomerleau Town Park will be held on June 15, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tables can be rented from the Border Riders Sportsman's Club for $5 each, which will be delivered to the park the morning of the event. All are welcome to participate on a first come, first serve basis, so secure your spot early. Anything goes, from new items to informational booths to used items, so clean out your closets and collect some dough! Call 668-7621 for more information and to request tables.

The 4th Annual SHOOT THE BULL MOOSE CALLING CONTEST will take place at the Jackman Hotel Lounge on Saturday, October 20 at 7:00 p.m. This is a video viewing event ~ There are two categories for CASH prizes: 1) Moose calling video, and 2) Wildlife (video or photo). Registrations for videos and photos are due by noon on Sunday, September 9th. The actual videos and pictures need to be submitted by noon on Monday, October 15th. Contest rules and entry forms are available at the Northland Hotel and the Jackman Hotel Lounge. Sure to be a great time!

The JRCA Festival of Trees is a yearly event for the children. Santa lights the trees, then visits for a while before taking off for the North Pole.
