Black flies are out in full force this year. Make sure that you stock up on bug spray before entering the woods. For a full list of local stores, please visit our website at jackmanmaine.org.
In addition, our woods are dry. We have experienced a dryer than normal spring and as a result our water table is very low. Please do not start a fire when taking a break. A little spark has the potential of causing great damage to our forest.
Always remember to carry out what you carry in. Thank you for helping to keep our forest clean! Happy Hiking!
